National Symposium - 2016 

On “Human Rights”

In Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law, Indore

A National Level Symposium was organized by Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law, Indore on 30-04-2016. The main theme of the symposium was “Human Rights”.

In this symposium Chief Guest was Hon’ble Justice, Shri V.D. Gyani ji (Retd. Chief Justice (Acting) Gauhati High Court, Assam , Chief- Speaker was Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao, Vice Chancellor, National Law School of India University, Bangalore and Guest of Honor was Shri Vipin Kumar Maheshwari ji, (Additional Director General of Police, Indore).

Symposium was started by lighting the lamp by all guests, all trustees and director and convener with Saraswati Vandana by the students.

Chief guest was welcomed with garland by Shri Purushottamdas ji Pasari and Shri Girdhar Gopal ji Nagar, Chief-speaker by Shri Manohar ji Baheti and Shri Kamalnarayan ji Bhuradiya and guest of honor was by Shri Devendra Kumar ji Muchhal & Prof.(Dr.) Binayak Patnaik.

Welcome and keynote address was delivered by Dr. Patnaik. Introductions about trust was informed by Shri Pasari ji who is Chairman, Shri Vaishnav Group of Institution and Chancellor, Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore & Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law was introduced by Shri Baheti ji.

Guest of honor, Shri Maheshwari ji was introduced by Dr. Ashutosh Bairagi, Chief Speaker, Dr. Rao by Dr.(Ms.) Santosh Chobey and Chief guest, Gyani ji by Dr. Deepika Bhatnagar, convener.

Shri Maheshwari ji spoke about “The role of Police Administration & Human Rights: issues & challenges”. He evaluated the role of police to control the violation of Human Rights. He said the Police is performing their duties 24 hours but no one is thinking about the Human Rights of a Police Man.

Dr. Rao spoke on the Human Rights of Vulnerable sections. In that He told every human being should be humane and every human being has a right to be a humane. He spoke about the left handled persons who are to be considered as vulnerable .

Justice Gyaniji spoke about violation of Human Rights and Judicial Response. He delivered his lecture on Judicial activism. He citied many cases related to violation of Human Rights. University Topper students, Aprajita Bhargav (LL.M.) and Anjali Patel (B.A.LL.B.) were honored by chief guest.

A number of students, Delegates, Faculty Member and staff members attended the symposium.

The mementos were given to all guests. Vote of thanks was given by Nagar ji. The symposium was conducted by students.
